Participation in the LOST Art Festival is at your own risk. The event takes place on a spacious site with industrial infrastructure and temporary installations. Visitors acknowledge that being present on the premises may involve certain risks.
The organizers shall be fully liable for damages resulting from intentional or grossly negligent breaches of duty. In the case of simple negligence, liability shall only arise where essential contractual obligations (so-called cardinal obligations) have been breached, and then only for the foreseeable and typical damage.
The organizers are liable for damages to life, body, or health in accordance with statutory provisions.
The organizers provide reasonable first aid within their capabilities. Further medical services will not be provided by the organizers. The organizers assume no liability for health complications unless these are caused by intentional or grossly negligent conduct.
Visitors are obligated to act cautiously at all times and to avoid recognizable risks on their own responsibility.
2. Site Conditions and Infrastructure
Visitors acknowledge that the site may contain uneven surfaces, limited lighting, or areas that are difficult to see. This includes, in particular:

Access is only permitted on designated paths and in areas opened to the public. The site is only partially accessible for individuals with disabilities. Visitors with limited mobility or specific needs are asked to contact the organizer in advance.
3. Installations and Program Content
The exhibition includes installations involving light, sound, video, mechanical and electronic components, some of which may be interactive or physically immersive.
Visitors acknowledge that the following stressors may occur in some installations:

Artificial narrow spaces, darkness, or disorientation
Persons with pre-existing conditions such as epilepsy, anxiety disorders, or sensory sensitivity are advised to consult the organizers in advance or avoid certain areas.
4. Visitor Conduct
Visitors agree to follow all safety instructions, signage, and directions from staff. The following are strictly prohibited:

Consumption of alcohol and other intoxicants is at the visitor’s own risk. Individuals who pose a risk to themselves or others may be asked to leave the premises.
The organizers reserve the right to immediately eject individuals who violate these rules or endanger others. In such cases, there is no right to a ticket refund. Bag checks will be conducted at the entrance. Entry may be denied if safety concerns arise.
5. Children and Accompanied Visitors
Children under the age of 12 may only attend the festival if accompanied by an adult. The duty of supervision remains entirely with the parent or guardian. The organizers assume no responsibility for minors or individuals requiring supervision.
6. Personal Belongings and Wardrobe
The organizers accept no liability for items brought by visitors, including clothing, technical equipment, or valuables, unless damage was caused intentionally or through gross negligence by staff or the organizer.
7. Third-Party Liability
The organizers are not liable for damages caused by other visitors, external service providers, or artists. Any claims must be made directly against the responsible parties.
8. Force Majeure and Program Changes
In the event of cancellation, interruption, or changes to the festival program due to force majeure, official orders, or other circumstances beyond the organizers’ control, there is no entitlement to a refund of the ticket price.
9. Image and Audio Recording
Photographs and video/audio recordings will be made by the organizers or third parties for documentation and promotional purposes. By entering the premises, visitors consent to their possible appearance in such recordings, unless they explicitly object in writing.
10. Acceptance
By purchasing a ticket and entering the festival grounds, visitors agree to these terms and conditions. This liability disclaimer is part of the general terms and conditions and is also visibly displayed at the entrance.
The organizers reserve the right to amend this disclaimer. The version in force on the day of the event shall apply.
